Ashanti, God love her, is trying to be a good Dorothy in The Wiz at Encores! Summer Stars Series. She's really doing her best. She should have gone to an acting school, that seems clear—and that's where Jeremy Quinn comes in. He's the director of education at the White Plains Performing Arts Center.

The White Plains Performing Arts Center Conservatory Theatre is a professional training program for theatrical artists between the ages of 10 – 22+, offered year-round at the White Plains Performing Arts Center. The mission of our programs is to provide the community with the highest-quality, most professional training in all aspects of theatre arts at our state-of-the-art facility in downtown White Plains.

From dynamic workshops with industry professionals, to top-notch, superior quality productions in the Fall, Winter and Spring as well as an all-inclusive Summer Theatre program, the conservatory is seeking to meet the artistic and educational needs of all young theatre artists including actors, directors, playwrights, designers, stage managers and budding young producers.
